Cement-based tile adhesive is suitable for most tiling tasks. However, there are locations and conditions where the performance of standard adhesive is not sufficient — where chemical exposure, continuous water pressure, extreme weight, or special substrates require a specially formulated adhesive.
For swimming pools and wet experience areas, the combination of continuous water exposure, chlorine-containing chemical environment, and temperature fluctuations stresses the adhesive — a two-component epoxy adhesive or a certified modified cement adhesive is required. In chemically exposed industrial flooring with acidic, alkaline, or solvent environments, the epoxy adhesive system is the only reliable solution. Heavy natural stone, such as large, thick marble and granite slabs on vertical surfaces, requires adhesive with reduced slip and increased bonding strength. For glass tiles and glass mosaics, translucent and semi-translucent coverings require white, non-discoloring adhesive.
The two-component epoxy adhesive is the highest-performance tile adhesive: chemical resistance, waterproofing, and exceptional bonding strength. Its application is a professional task: adherence to mixing ratio, working time, and temperature range is mandatory. Once cured, epoxy adhesive cannot be repaired — all parameters must be checked before application.
