White salt efflorescence on the lower section of the wall, which is stronger in winter: rising ground moisture — capillary water absorbed from the soil brings salts to the surface. Patchy mold in corners and on the inside of exterior walls that does not disappear after heating: condensation — humid air condenses on thermal bridges. Plaster falling off and swelling on the lower section of the wall: soaking or rising moisture — the wall absorbs water and the plaster detaches. Salt map-like, yellowish-brown discoloration on the wall surface: salt leaching from residual old salts — a remnant of previous moisture damage. None of these symptoms are the same, and each requires a different intervention.

Moisture treatment is a layering system, not a single-product solution. From preparation — with a salt barrier layer in case of salt load — through applying the moisture-removing plaster to breathable finishing layers: every element functions as part of the system. The moisture-removing plaster has a highly porous, breathable structure that absorbs salts and moisture into its interior — not on the surface — so the plaster’s integrity remains intact while the wall gradually dries. This is not an immediate fix but an active management of a physical process. Wall injection tries to stop moisture — which rarely succeeds completely in old, unevenly porous masonry. The moisture-removing plaster system follows a different logic: it does not build a barrier but manages moisture. The plaster’s pore structure accommodates salts and water, the wall gradually dries, and the surface remains intact. There is no single point that can fail.
