ARDEX P 51 is a versatile, water-based primer and adhesion promoter designed for the preparation of concrete, cement, and gypsum-based substrates, as well as wood and other surfaces suitable for covering. It seals pores, reduces absorbency, prevents the formation of air bubbles, and provides strong adhesion for screeds, floor leveling compounds, tile adhesives, and other covering layers.

ARDEX P 51 is dilutable and easy to apply with a brush, roller, or spray, dries quickly, and provides an excellent base for further work processes. It is suitable for indoor use, compatible with underfloor heating systems, and ensures even moisture regulation of substrates.

Areas of use
  • Primer, pre-coating, bonding bridge and pore-sealing material with good water-repellent effect.
  • For setting powdery substrate surfaces, e.g.: polished, absorbent calcium sulfate screeds and liquid calcium sulfate screeds, for priming cement screeds to facilitate further leveling and smoothing.
  • As a bonding bridge on smooth concrete floors, especially compacted cement screeds, refined calcium sulfate screeds, terrazzo, sandstone, tile and slab coverings when applying smoothing compounds and thin-bed mortars.
  • As a bonding bridge on old substrates with adhered leveling compounds and adhesive residues.
  • As a pore sealer on concrete floors and cement screeds
    - prevents air bubbles from rising from the substrate during leveling,
    - and prevents the mixing water from the leveling compound from seeping into the substrate.
  • Primer before applying thin-bed mortar on gypsum, calcium sulfate and chipboard.
  • As a bonding bridge on smooth concrete for gypsum-based wall leveling compounds.
  • Protective coating to prevent dusting of surfaces treated with smoothing and leveling compounds, which are put into use in this condition for longer or shorter periods.

Stock and prices

Our online store is open 24/7 and ships Monday through Friday, except for some holidays. Orders received for products without delivery restrictions on the product page will be delivered within 1-3 days if received before 12:00 p.m. In the case of orders placed for products in the suppliers' warehouses, the expected availability time is indicated on the product page, and we deliver according to the indicated time.

In order to provide the best service, we try to keep a stock of the most popular products in our warehouse in Budapest. Such products are labeled "In Stock". These can be collected or delivered within 1-3 days.

All other products must be shipped from the supplier's warehouses. This can take 1-4 weeks (it depends on the manufacturer; please confirm the delivery time with our customer service before ordering). Such products are either marked "In Stock" or require a pre-order together with a request for a quote.

All prices include VAT.

Shipping Information

Products available in our warehouse are delivered within 1-3 days.

Products not available in our warehouse are first shipped from the manufacturer’s warehouse to our warehouse, and then from there to you. Shipping from the manufacturer’s warehouse may take 1-2 weeks.

Available delivery options

  • GPS delivery is available throughout Hungary for orders up to 120 kg, with costs ranging from 4,200 to 25,200 HUF. The costs are determined based on the weight of the ordered products and are automatically added to your cart at checkout. Dispatch from our warehouse takes place on the next working day after the order to ensure fast and safe delivery of your order.
  • Upon request, we can also provide a custom delivery quote (useful for shipments over 120 kg).
  • You may also choose to pick up the goods free of charge from our warehouse.
