Decoration of reinforced concrete in an aggressive environment

Kerakoll’s engineers successfully met the major challenge of being the first to develop an ultra-fine geo-mortar with Geolite. In addition to passivating steel (in accordance with EN 1504-7) and restoring the monolithic nature of the structure, this material also offers greater aesthetic value than traditional repair mortars.

CE-marked and classified as R4 under EN 1504-3, Geolite is ideal for smoothing the surfaces of concrete elements that do not require centimetre-thick restoration, in accordance with EN 1504-2.

In aggressive environments where greater protection is required than that provided by restoration alone, the finished surfaces can be further protected with the Kerakover Acrilex Flex elastomeric finish. This product provides excellent adhesion to the substrate and offers comprehensive protection for concrete by forming an effective protective layer against external agents that cause deterioration.
