A tiling or plastering system depends on the preparatory and supplementary materials. The base material is available — but missing additives, incorrectly diluted two-component products, or skipped moisture measurements reduce the system's performance, not the main product.
Additives to refine the properties of mortar, adhesive, and coating: setting time, fluidity, flexibility, frost resistance. The manufacturer's system warranty is tied to the prescribed dosage — this is not marketing text but a technical requirement. Thinners for one- and two-component products, with different formulas by type: the same thinner is not suitable for epoxy, polyurethane, and dispersion products. Inert materials and fillers for special mixes and on-site repairs where the standard recipe is insufficient.
Fasteners and anchors for the mechanical fixing of Geo and Metric moisture control systems: steel dowels, threaded rods, threaded sleeves. Size and load capacity depend on the layer structure — these should not be chosen from general dowel categories.
Baseboards and cover strips for finishing the tiling system: covering expansion joints, handling corners and transitions. Wood flooring accessories for the Legno parquet system — made from the same material as the floor. The Other subgroup includes grout removers, trowels, measuring rollers, and small tools needed for work — which are worth purchasing together with the other system components.
Kerakoll Hydromette moisture meters. For underfloor heating systems and moisture-sensitive coverings — wood flooring, LVT, resilient flooring — the EN standard specifies the maximum moisture content before installation. The Hydromette series offers calibrated measuring devices for both surface and deeper layer inspection. If the contractor skips this step, responsibility cannot be shifted to the material.
