Peaceful retreat at Lake Como
When designing this tranquil retreat on the shores of Lake Como, serenity was the raison d’être. To create a sense of complete calm, the designers chose a palette of comfortable neutral colours—nothing too distracting or bright—as well as an orderly layout that does not disrupt the architecture’s clean lines.

The walls in Patina Living KK 106 lend the spaces a subtle delabrè look. In Cementoresina KK 109, the tonal flooring covers the horizontal surfaces and stairs, creating an elegant contrast with materials such as amber-toned wood.

The central hallway offers unobstructed views from the heart of the house towards the lush hills surrounding Lake Como. The central wall’s light turquoise-blue Decor Paint KK 48 echoes the soft green shades of the lake and trees, creating a subtle dialogue between the interior and exterior spaces.

Natural materials such as stone, marble, and wood create a subtle contrast with the surfaces: the seamless Cementoresina flooring and the Wallpaper coverings, both in the unexpected shade of KK 144 violet. The restrained decoration and uncluttered spaces allow the materials’ warmth to speak for itself—visually connecting them to the structure’s minimalist façade, entirely clad in Outdoor Plaster resin.
