What is it suitable for?
Substrates: Cement plaster, drywall, gypsum plaster, MDF/HDF board primed with Universal Wall Primer. Existing ceramic, glass mosaic, natural stone pre-treated with Keragrip Eco Pulep + Wallcrete smoothing. Directly on Aquastop waterproofing.
Spaces (walls only, wet areas):

Not suitable for: Floors, outdoor use, direct, prolonged water immersion (pool, water tank), wet substrates (>2% CM cement, >1% gypsum), flaky, unstable surfaces, old paints, lime washes (to be removed)
In dry areas? The Patina Living system — the same texture, without protective layer. Looking for a smooth surface? The Wallpaper is silky smooth, also waterproof.

Can it be used in the shower?
Yes. The Kerakoll Patina system is specifically designed for wet areas — shower walls, washbasin countertops, kitchen backsplashes. 5 days waiting time after application.
What is the difference between Patina and Venetian stucco?
Venetian stucco is glossy, polished, with a marble effect. Patina is matte, velvety, with soft shades — Mediterranean plaster effect, not a marble imitation. Different character, different mood.
How is Patina different from regular paint?
The paint is single-colored and smooth. Patina is velvety, nuanced, deep—the light breaks differently on it at different times of the day. Every wall is unique because it is handmade.
Can it be applied on tiles? Yes. With Keragrip Eco Pulep adhesion promoter + Wallcrete smoothing preparation. Wallcrete fills the joints, providing a flat base.
For living spaces or wet rooms? This system is for wet rooms—shower, washbasin, kitchen. For living spaces (living room, bedroom, office), the Patina Living system, without protective layer.
Which decorative plaster system should I choose for the shower?
Depends on the character. Patina is velvety, soft, with a natural shade—Mediterranean character. Wallcrete is textured, with visible trowel marks—bolder, more structured. Wallpaper is silky smooth—minimalist. All three are waterproof.
Can I apply it myself?
Technically yes. Trowel work requires practice—the mottled effect is controlled, but the quality of execution shows. Ask for our certified masters.
How durable is it?
With professional application, 10+ years. The protective layer can be renewed without redoing the entire system.
How to clean?
With descaler, disinfectant, household cleaner. Avoid abrasive sponges.
What is the minimum order?
Minimum 5 m², then in 5 m² increments. The package includes Patina, Finish, and Microresina Xtreme Invisible. Primer must be ordered separately depending on the substrate.
