Is the old wall hollow and cracked inside? Hidden cavities and detachments weaken the structure but cannot be opened up. What is it suitable for?

Masonry: Brick, tuff, stone, and mixed masonry — structural reinforcement and modification. Internal reinforcement and compaction of cracks, settlements, cavities, and detachments. Consolidation of "hollow," reed-mesh masonry and plaster detachments. Fixing of GeoSteel G600/G1200 galvanized steel connecting rods.

System elements (works with these): GeoSteel G600/G1200 steel rod connectors; preliminary jointing/plastering of the surface with Geocalce or Biocalce mortar, with built-in injectors (recommended spacing 50×50 cm).

Not suitable for:

• Before preliminary jointing/plastering of the wall to be reinforced (without injector access)
• As an adhesive mortar on contaminated, loose substrates (this is injection, not plaster mortar)
• On surfaces below +5 °C, above +35 °C, or frozen; in rain or strong sun
• As standalone reinforcement — not complete without the other system elements (rod/fabric, surface sealing)

Which Geocalce Antisismico do you need?

Frequently Asked Questions

How can internal cavities and cracks in the wall be filled without demolition?
With liquid injection mortar. Geocalce FL Antisismico is an extremely fluid NHL lime mortar that you inject at low pressure through built-in injectors — it fills and compacts internal cavities, cracks, and detachments without demolition.

What is injection mortar, and how is it different from plaster?
Injection mortar is liquid so it can flow into the internal cavities and cracks of the wall. It is not spread on the surface like plaster but injected through injectors — Geocalce FL is made for this purpose, an extremely fluid mass.

Do I need to prepare the wall before injection?
Yes. First, the surface must be grouted/plastered with Geocalce or Biocalce mortar, and injectors installed (recommended 50×50 cm). Before injection, the internal structure must be saturated with water.

At what pressure should I inject?
At low pressure, maximum ≈ 1.5 bar. Overpressure or a "high-pressure shock" can cause detachment or cracking in the structure, so always inject from bottom to top, monitoring the pressure.

Can it be used to fix GeoSteel connecting rods?
Yes, this is one of its main roles. Geocalce FL fixes the GeoSteel G600/G1200 galvanized steel connecting rods — the adhesion stress of the cast rod is ≥ 3.5 MPa.

Geocalce FL, F, or G — which one do I need?
FL is liquid, for injection and fixing connecting rods — inside the wall. Geocalce F is a fine-grained, spreadable matrix mortar for the surface, for embedding mesh. Geocalce G is coarse, for thick structural layers and lime concrete. Use FL for filling internal cavities/cracks, F for surface mesh embedding, and G for thick structural layers.

Can it be purchased separately?
Yes. If the reinforcement is designed by a professional and you separately acquire surface preparation, injectors, and connectors, Geocalce FL can be purchased alone. However, for complete reinforcement, the other system components are also required.

When NOT to use it?
Do not use before preliminary grouting/plastering of the masonry and installation of injectors, and do not use as a surface adhesive or plaster mortar — this is injection mortar. Not as standalone reinforcement either, without the other system components. Do not inject on frozen surfaces, below +5 °C or above +35 °C.

Can I apply it myself?
Injection requires a special pump, pressure monitoring, and professional preparation — incorrect pressure can damage the structure. Seismic reinforcement also requires structural design. We also undertake complete implementation.
