What is it suitable for?

Which trowel is suitable for old tiles, mosaics, or painted walls?
It adheres even on non-absorbent substrates. Geocalce Multiuso spread with a notched trowel provides a smooth, paintable surface on old synthetic coatings, mosaics, concrete, and paint. The non-absorbent substrate must be clean and dry.

What do the CS IV and R1 classes mean?
CS IV is the highest compressive strength class for plaster mortar according to EN 998-1, and R1 is the concrete repair classification according to EN 1504-3. Together: the strongest member of the Geocalce family, also suitable for repairs — with adhesion ≥ 1 N/mm².

How thick can it be applied?
From 3 mm to 30 mm per layer. For thin finishing, 3 mm is enough; for thick leveling, up to 30 mm in one layer. For thicker builds, apply in multiple layers after the lower layer dries.

How many m² does a 25 kg bag cover?
As plaster ≈ 13 kg/m² per centimeter, as finishing ≈ 1.3 kg/m² per millimeter. For a thin 3 mm finish, a 25 kg bag covers about 6 m², for 1 cm thick plaster about 1.9 m².

Is it good against spalling of infill masonry or slabs?
Yes, that is one of its main roles. Geocalce Multiuso combined with Geo Grid 120, Geosteel Grid 200, or Rinforzo ARV 100 mesh forms an anti-spalling protective system for infill masonry and brick-concrete slabs.

When NOT to use it?
Do not use on gypsum or anhydrite screeds, plastic, wood, or metal. Also avoid walls exposed to movement or rising damp — first, the cause of the moisture must be addressed.

Can I apply it myself?
Can be applied by hand or machine; spread with a notched trowel as a finishing tool. However, structural reinforcement and anti-spalling systems, as well as the restoration of historic walls, require expertise. We also undertake complete execution.
