On old tiles, stone, wood and screeds too. Walkable after ≈ 1 hour at +23 °C and 50% humidity. This is Kerakoll Keralevel Eco RP.

Not suitable for:

• For outdoor use
• For substrates with high thermal expansion
• For rooms that are continuously wet or subject to moisture

Frequently asked questions

Can vinyl, PVC or linoleum flooring be glued over old tiles?
Yes, if the old flooring is firmly bonded: fill the joints and holes without removing the flooring, using ready-to-use floor repair paste. Keralevel Eco RP fills shallow joints and holes up to 0–1 mm. Except under breathable textile flooring, a ≥ 2 mm levelling layer is recommended afterwards.

How long before it can be walked on and covered?
At +23 °C and 50% humidity, it is walkable after ≈ 1 hour. The next operation can be carried out after 2–3 hours. It takes longer in cold conditions and at high humidity.

How much material is needed per m²?
≈ 1.3 kg/m² per millimetre. A 15 kg bucket covers ≈ 11 m² at 1 mm. Maximum 1 mm per layer.

Is primer needed underneath?
Yes, on highly absorbent substrates, underfloor heating and anhydrite screeds: Active Prime Fix. The anhydrite screed must also be prepared according to the manufacturer’s instructions. No primer is needed on old tiles or stone; the surface must be stable, permanently dry, and free of dust, oil and grease.

Which adhesive can be applied over it?
Water-based dispersion adhesive for PVC, rubber, linoleum and carpet. Not directly with solvent-based or reactive (one- and two-component) adhesive. It is also not suitable under parquet.

Keralevel Eco RP or floor levelling compound?
For 0–1 mm repairs and smoothing, use Keralevel Eco RP. For thicker levelling, use Keralevel Eco or the fast-setting Keralevel Eco LR.

What does it mean that it creates a non-absorbent surface?
The cured layer does not absorb the adhesive’s water content, so the water can only escape through the flooring. Therefore, standard water-based dispersion adhesive can be used with breathable textile flooring. For other flooring, a ≥ 2 mm smoothing layer and a water-based dispersion adhesive with a long open time are recommended.

When should I not use it?
Not outdoors, in wet or damp rooms, or on substrates with high thermal expansion. It is also not suitable under parquet or solvent-based or reactive (one- and two-component) adhesives.
