Kerakoll Microresina Zero – system component

Kerakoll Microresina Zero is a tinted, roller-applied base layer for floors. It fills joints and provides the base color — the thin Microresina color layer does not show through. Available in 150 Color Collection shades, with the same color code as other system layers. This is the first colored layer of the Microresina Floor system.

What is it suitable for?

Substrates:

• Existing ceramic, gres, glass mosaic, terracotta — with Keragrip Eco Pulep adhesion promoter
• Marble, natural stone — with Keragrip Eco Pulep adhesion promoter
• Concrete floor — with two-layer priming of EP21 + Keragrip Eco Pulep

Areas (floor only):

• Dry areas: living room, bedroom, hallway, office, shop
• Wet areas: bathroom, kitchen, shower — with Microresina Xtreme protective layer
• With underfloor heating: suitable

Not suitable for:

• For outdoor use
• On parquet, PVC, laminate flooring, linoleum
• On damp substrates (>2% CM moisture)
• On waxed or dirt-filled joints (without cleaning)
• For walls and ceilings
• As a standalone surface (without Microresina color layer and Microresina Xtreme protective layer)

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Microresina Zero be applied on tiles?
Yes. After Keragrip Eco Pulep adhesion promoter. Loose or missing joints must be re-grouted beforehand.

Is different preparation needed for concrete floors?
Yes. For concrete, a two-layer primer of EP21 + Keragrip Eco Pulep is required. Details in the Application Areas section.

Is sanding Microresina Zero necessary before the next layer?
Yes. Remove overlaps and build-ups with 220-grit sanding mesh. Vacuum before applying Microresina.

Can it be used in showers?
Yes—as part of the complete Microresina Floor system. Water resistance is ensured by the Microresina Xtreme protective layer.

Suitable for underfloor heating?
Yes. The Microresina Floor system is certified with EN 1903 for underfloor heating.

How much Microresina Zero is needed per square meter?
On a standard surface, 0.2 kg/m². For large joints or uneven substrates, 0.3 kg/m².

How long does it take to dry between layers?
6 hours at +30°C, 16 hours at +10°C. The Microresina color layer can only be applied after full drying.

What is the difference between Microresina Zero and Microresina?
Microresina Zero is the base layer—it fills the joints and provides the base color. Microresina is the color layer—that creates the final surface. Both are required for the system.

Available separately?
No. Microresina Zero is only available as part of the Microresina Floor system in a pre-assembled package. If you need to cover a larger area than the package provides or are repairing an existing Microresina Floor surface, contact our customer service for a custom solution.

150 colors from the Color Collection. The color code matches the Microresina color layer.

The Color Collection offers 150 Piero Lissoni colors in 20 surface types.

One color code covers the wall, floor, ceiling, door, and window frame. Dusty tones make any combination work—uniform shade throughout or a deliberate contrast. The Color Fill completes the system with 50 matching grouts and silicones.
