Frequently asked questions

Can it be applied to existing oak floors?
Yes — suitable for traditional, pre-sanded, and renovation oak floors alike. The floor must be sanded and cleaned of previous coatings (wax, lacquer, silicone) before application.

What is the difference between parquet lacquer, parquet oil, and Legno Nat?
All three protect the wood floor — but behave differently in terms of wear and repair:

• Parquet lacquer: hard film over the wood — durable but requires full sanding when worn
• Parquet oil: penetrates the wood — natural feel, local repairs possible, more maintenance
• Legno Nat: thin resin layer, matte finish — between the two, more wear-resistant than oil, more natural look than lacquer

Oak floor treatment: when should I choose Legno Nat?
If you want to keep the current floor color — use Legno Nat. If you want to give the parquet a new color, the Microresina Parquet system is available in 150 Piero Lissoni shades for the same substrate.

How durable is the microresin coating on wood floors?
Microresina Xtreme shows less than 18 mg wear in the Taber test (CS17/1 kg/1000 revolutions, ASTM D 4060)—the expected level for commercial floors. Slip-resistant (R9, DIN 51130), HACCP certified, washable.

How long before the treated floor can be walked on?
After application, ~2–4 days for light (residential) use, ~7–10 days for heavy (commercial) use before traffic. About 48 hours before mopping.

How much surface area does the Legno Nat package cover?
For Legno Large/Medium/Small, Legno Nat Base covers about 10 m²/liter, Microresina Xtreme about 70–80 ml/m² per layer (3 layers). To calculate the exact amount, please contact us with the area size.

What is the minimum order quantity?
Available in 5 m² batches. Orders under 10 m² incur a 30% surcharge.
