Is the plastered wall patch-repaired and uneven? Paint will highlight every defect. This fine-grained smoothing coat can be applied quickly in a single coat. It can be smoothed by hand or machine. Available in white and grey. It can then be painted: after approximately 3–7 days at +20 °C and 65% humidity. This is Kerakoll Rasobuild Eco Fino.

How can a patchily repaired render be made even before painting?
With a fine-grained smoothing render over the entire wall. Rasobuild Eco Fino provides a uniform surface in one layer. It can be applied after the repaired areas have cured.
How long before the smoothed wall can be painted?
At +20 °C and 65% humidity, after ≈ 3–7 days. Wallpaper can also be applied at this point. It takes longer in cold or humid conditions.
How much smoothing compound is needed per m²?
≈ 1.2 kg/m² per millimetre. A 25 kg bag covers ≈ 20 m² at 1 mm thickness. The maximum layer thickness is 5 mm.
Should I choose white or grey smoothing compound?
Both colours can be used on the same substrates in the same way. The differences are the colour, mixing water (white ≈ 6.9 l, grey ≈ 6.6 l / 25 kg), and GreenBuilding rating (white Rating 5, grey Rating 4).
Rasobuild Eco Fino or Granello?
For a finer finish and a thinner layer, use Fino (0–0.8 mm, max. 5 mm). For deeper unevenness, use Granello (0–1.4 mm, max. 10 mm).
Is a primer needed beneath the smoothing compound?
On sound, solid, absorbent render, no preparation is needed other than dampening. For crumbling or gypsum-based walls, Rasobuild Eco Consolidante must be applied first. New render must be scratched before smoothing.
Can it also be used on façades?
Yes, both indoors and outdoors. On façades, it can be applied to sound, solid, absorbent render. It must not be applied to surfaces exposed to sunlight or in windy weather.
When should I not use it?
On floors, plasterboard, wood, or moving walls. It is also unsuitable for treated surfaces. Rasobuild Eco Top Fino is designed for painted, non-absorbent surfaces.
Can it also be smoothed by machine?
Yes, the final smoothing can be done by hand or by machine. The layers must be applied with a finishing trowel, applying strong pressure to the first layer. Additional layers can be applied until the desired finish is achieved.
Can I apply it myself?
A product designed for professionals. Achieving a flat, even wall requires practice with a finishing trowel. We also carry out the finishing and painting.

Substrate preparation: A solid, dry, clean, dust-free and grease-free substrate. Remove friable areas, cement debris, old paint, and adhesive and form-release agent residues. Allow spot repairs to cure fully. Scratch-key new plaster before smoothing. For friable areas and gypsum-based walls, Rasobuild Eco Consolidante, as much as the substrate absorbs.
Mixing: Pour approximately ¾ of the mixing water into a clean container (total amount: white ≈ 6.9 l, grey ≈ 6.6 l / 25 kg), then gradually add the powder at low speed (≈ 400 rpm). Then add the remaining water until a lump-free, uniform consistency is obtained.
Application: Apply the first coat to the dampened substrate with a plastering trowel, pressing firmly. Then apply the additional coats, with a maximum coat thickness of 5 mm. Finish by hand or mechanically. On mixed substrates, embed Rinforzo 50 V alkali-resistant mesh into the fresh first coat, then completely cover it with the second coat.
Waiting time: Before painting or wallpapering: ≈ 3–7 days (+20 °C, 65% relative humidity; longer in cold or humid conditions).
Conditions: Between +5 °C and +35 °C. Do not apply to surfaces exposed to sunlight or high temperatures, or in windy conditions. Do not add water after setting has begun.
