From railing to manhole cover — do you have to wait for it to set before loading? Slow mortar sits for hours, work stops. Geolite sets in 10 minutes, loadable and paintable after 4 hours. R4 strength, fast setting even in cold. This is Kerakoll Geolite 10.
Geolite is the first geo-mortar for repairing damaged reinforced concrete: Kerakoll geo-binder, with near-zero shrinkage and high chemical resistance.
-
Fast fixing, anchoring — railing, column, manhole cover, street furniture: 10 minutes setting — work doesn’t stop, quickly loadable
-
Concrete repair when there’s no time to wait: loadable and paintable after 4 hours — ready the same day, can be covered with MicroSilicato too
-
Progresses even in cold weather: sets quickly even at +5 °C (≈ 22–25 minutes) — won’t stop on cool mornings or in winter
-
Load-bearing repair: Class R4, 28 days > 45 N/mm² — structural strength, not just patching
-
Rusting reinforcing steel: pH ≥ 12.5 alkaline chemistry passivates the iron (EN 1504-7) — stops corrosion
-
Does not run even overhead or on vertical surfaces: thixotropic consistency — 2–40 mm in one layer
-
Exposed to precipitation, wet locations: waterproof — outdoors, in shafts, at manhole covers as well
-
Non-combustible: A1 fire resistance class — geo-binder based, mineral composition

What is it suitable for?
Substrates: Healthy, load-bearing reinforced concrete and concrete — indoors and outdoors. Quick repair of damaged, spalled concrete structures. On horizontal concrete after Primer Uni substrate preparation.
Usage: Fast, precision fixing and structural anchoring — hooks, pipe spacers, frames, sanitary fixtures, columns, railings, manhole covers, shafts, public and street furniture. Local and general repair of reinforced concrete where quick commissioning or low temperature is a factor; anchoring rods, base plates, machines.
Not suitable for: contaminated, loose, crumbling, or dusty substrates; gypsum, metal, or wood; surfaces below +5 °C, above +40 °C, or frozen; where long working time is needed on large surfaces (use Geolite / Geolite 40 for that); for pouring into formwork (use Geolite Magma for that).

Which Geolite mortar do you need?
-
Manual/machine repair, large surface, 2–40 mm, no rush (80 minutes): Geolite — R4, the basis of the Geosteel SRG system
-
Same-day handover, semi-fast (40 minutes): Geolite 40 — R4, waterproof, paintable after 4 hours
-
Fast fixing, anchoring, in cold (10 minutes): Geolite 10 — this product, R4, waterproof
-
Poured into formwork, 10–100 mm: Geolite Magma — pourable, R4 (anchoring: Magma 20, fiber-reinforced FRC: Xenon)
-
Light aesthetic smoothing, non-structural (2–50 mm): Geolite Silt — R2
Frequently asked questions
What can be used to quickly fix railings, posts, or manhole covers into concrete?
Fast-setting, R4 class concrete repair geo-mortar that sets in 10 minutes. Geolite sets in 10 minutes and can be loaded after 4 hours — for precise fixing of railings, posts, manhole covers, and street furniture. Fill the hole or recess and hold it in place until it sets.
How fast does it set, and when can it be loaded?
The setting time of Geolite 10 at +21 °C is approximately 10 minutes, and it can be loaded and painted after 4 hours. It sets slower in cold: at +5 °C, setting takes about 22–25 minutes. It sets faster in heat — at +30 °C, about 3–4 minutes, so mix in small batches.
Can it be used in cold weather?
Yes, Geolite 10 can be worked at low temperatures: it sets quickly even at +5 °C. The application temperature range is between +5 °C and +40 °C — it cannot be applied on frozen surfaces. It was developed precisely for cold, fast jobs.
What does the R4 class mean for concrete repair mortar?
R4 is the highest structural repair mortar class according to EN 1504-3. It is suitable for restoring high-strength, load-bearing structures — Geolite 10 has a 28-day compressive strength > 45 N/mm². R3 and R2 are weaker and not for structural repairs.
Geolite, Geolite 40, or Geolite 10 — which one do I need?
All three are R4 thixotropic concrete repair mortars, only the setting time differs. Geolite 10 is fast (10 minutes) — for fixing and cold weather. Geolite 40 is semi-fast (40 minutes), for same-day handover. Geolite is normal (80 minutes), for large surfaces and machine application.
Is the concrete repair paintable and waterproof?
Geolite 10 is waterproof, and the repair can be painted after 4 hours. It can be used outdoors, in pits, and in places exposed to precipitation. For carbonation-resistant, breathable protection, Geolite MicroSilicato paint can be applied.
Is a primer needed under the concrete repair mortar?
Do not use on vertical, healthy concrete — just moisten the surface until saturation. For horizontal concrete surfaces, Primer Uni substrate preparation is recommended. The substrate must always be clean, solid, and rough.
When should I NOT use this fast concrete repair?
For large surfaces requiring long working times, do not use it — the slower Geolite or Geolite 40 are suitable. Do not apply on contaminated, loose, dusty substrates, gypsum, metal, wood, or frozen surfaces. Due to the fast setting, always mix in small batches.
Can I apply it myself?
Small, quick fixing or surface repair can be done by an experienced hand. However, the fast setting leaves little room for error, and structural restoration requires static knowledge. We also undertake complete execution.
